About Will Draft India
Will Draft India is a free, static, browser-based tool that helps adults in India put together a first draft of a Last Will and Testament. It was built around one constraint: your Will information should never have to leave your device.
Why a static, no-backend tool?
Most online document generators route your personal and financial details through a server — sometimes for good reasons, sometimes not. This tool takes a different approach: the entire questionnaire, the drafting logic, and the document generation run as JavaScript in your browser. There is no database, no account, and no server that ever sees what you type.
What it is not
This is not a law firm, and it does not provide legal advice. It cannot certify that a document you generate here is valid or will hold up if challenged. Succession law in India varies by religion, personal law, property type, and family circumstance — this tool flags the situations that commonly need a lawyer, but it cannot replace one.
Who maintains this
This site is maintained as an open, static project, deployable on free hosting (GitHub Pages or Cloudflare Pages). Configuration for optional analytics and advertising is kept in separate, clearly labelled files, and both are off unless an administrator turns them on and a visitor consents.
